Our mission is to provide our clients the best possible service based on research and data collection. We are committed to thoroughly assess our clients’ strengths and weakness and find “out of the box” solutions to challenging cases. Our therapists are constantly updating themselves through training, workshops and research in order to provide the best intervention program for all our clients. We pride ourselves in the fact that we are able to see our clients through their intervention programs from beginning to end when they are discharged. We are constantly taking data to keep track of our clients’ development and use the data to guide us in the progression of our intervention programs. Our clients and families are constantly given feedback and homework in order to ensure continued success in all contexts and settings.

Collaboration...

We believe that the families are part of the intervention team. Families are invited to watch therapy sessions in order to learn the strategies for carryover at home. We pride ourselves in the fact that we have very good relationships with our families. We make them feel that their opinions, priorities, and personal goals are important to us and that we value their input in the therapeutic process. 

 

We also collaborate with different professionals when families request it. We have experience in collaborating with physicians, BCBAs, ABA therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, teachers, and other professionals involved in the rehabilitation and habilitation of our clients. 

 

Providing the best modality for communication...

We specialize in Augmentative/ Alternative Communication; a domain in speech therapy dedicated to Augment limited speech production or finds an Alternative means of communicating when speech production is not possible. We strive to find the best modality of communication for our clients who cannot otherwise express themselves through speech. We work together with our clients' families and service providers to identify their communication needs, and identifying an appropriate communication system tailored to meet those needs. Finding the best modality also means as we Augment the limited verbal productions of a client, we also facilitate the further improvement of the speech and language skills that they already posses. We use AAC to meet the client's growing communication needs now, while we work on improving the speech production that the client may use tomorrow.

We believe in giving back and doing our bit in helping people who may not have the means and resources to find their own voices (please see outreach tab for more information).
